Meet The Team
Volunteer- Board Member - Recording Secretary
Helen Miller
Helen is our “get it done” board member who encourages and motivates us to keep things moving. While working and spending time with grandchildren, she still finds time for community involvement. We are thankful for her experience, creative ideas and leadership.
Volunteer - Board Member - Treasurer
Ruth Gingerich
Ruth is our “spark” that kept fanning the flame to bring Good Neighours to reality. Her warm and friendly manner makes everyone feel welcome . Her background in banking helps keep a handle on Good Neighbour finances.
Volunteer - Board Member
Phyllis Ramer
For many years, Phyllis has felt that Bluewater needed a meeting place for individuals to connect. She desires to find ways to interact, and support each other. She can often be found working alongside Blessing’s Food Bank program on Wednesdays cooking up simple meals to be distributed through the Food Bank.
Volunteer- Board Member
Sherrie Edwards
Sherrie’s background in accounting, and an eye for detail makes her a welcome addition to the board in support of our treasurer and recording secretary. Busy with other work and holidaying commitments, we appreciate the time she is able to give to the board and the centre.
Volunteer
Mary Blakney
Mary is a relative newcomer to the Bluewater area and is actively becoming part of the community. She is excited to be involved not only on the board but as a volunteer and participant in the weekly activities. In her spare time she enjoys, crafting, cooking, travelling and of course meeting new people.

Carol Gascho joined the volunteer team as the early morning baker for Monday’s 7am Coffee, Conversation and Treats. The smell of fresh baking permeates the centre on Monday mornings.
Volunteer
Karen Zehr
Karen Zehr has been volunteering since Good Neighbours opened. Karen has plugged into whatever needs to be done weather its proofreading bylaws, stemming strawberries or being a welcoming face we are grateful for her support. You will often see her on Monday or Thursday afternoons as a participant, and/or host.
Volunteer
Dave Siebert
Dave Siebert is also on board early Monday mornings. He’s our coffee guy and joins Carol in welcoming the early risers who drop in for conversation. Life-long resident of Zurich (and yes, a descendent of Babe Siebert, Montreal Maroon hockey player), recently relocated to Clinton, we value his commitment to support his home community.
